Having a doula meant support for myself and my partner as we navigated our first birth journey. Having Skye as our doula meant connecting with someone who was always on her game, having our space held in all the ways we needed, and having someone who was extremely diligent. We are so grateful to have someone who answered our questions when she could, and made active efforts to follow up with anything she may not have 100% had an answer to (as infrequently as that was), which spoke to her professionalism. She had a way of adding such personalized touches to every moment we worked together and made the laboring space exactly what I needed. My birth did not go as I planned, nor as I had wanted, but it was a birth that I was able to handle, cope with, mourn, and even still enjoy because of Skye’s doula support and guidance.
